Then our SAFETY ACADEMY basic course in mountaineering is the perfect opportunity. The aim of the course is to introduce you to the fundamental climbing techniques and movement forms that you need for your alpine adventures.
Included services
Starting with an understanding of alpine hazards, you will learn to recognize potential risks early and respond effectively. We place special emphasis on selecting and safely handling your equipment, including important knot techniques that will assist you in various situations.
Walking and climbing in trackless terrain, as well as traversing snowfields, are further focal points of our training. You will gain insights into the basics of rock climbing and learn how to handle simple climbing passages with mountaineering boots. The securing techniques in the rock for challenging passages expand and complete the content. Our SAFETY ACADEMY training courses provide the ideal foundation for independently conducting alpine mountain tours and navigating via ferrata routes with ease.
TRAINING CONTENT: • Walking techniques on rock and snow • Climbing and securing techniques in alpine terrain • Climbing with mountaineering boots • Risk assessment of alpine hazards • Rope management and traversing challenging passages • Recognizing and using fixed points • Building stations and rappelling • Tour planning • When and where possible snow training (using ice axes, walking techniques, braking techniques)
