Connectedness to nature is considered an important value for guests and locals alike – but our actual relationship with nature is more complex. For decades, nature has been heavily utilized as a space for experiences, while respect and genuine relationships with the environment have partly been lost. At the same time, it is evident that many global crises are directly related to our interaction with nature.

Together with Vorarlberg Tourism, the Bludenz Alpine Region, the Biosphere Park Management, and students from the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, these questions were examined within the framework of the "Living Lab Großes Walsertal." During the professional dialogue, key findings will be presented and discussed with regional stakeholders.

A highlight is the keynote by Harry Gatterer, Managing Director of the Zukunftsinstitut. He demonstrates how societal developments and technological possibilities shape our experience of nature – and what opportunities arise from this.

Following this, experts from the region will discuss what a sustainable relationship with nature might look like and what potentials are emerging in the Großes Walsertal.
