In 1989, the first International Walser Ski Championships took place in Faschina. Since then, representatives from Walser communities throughout the Alpine region have been meeting every two years for a sports-friendly competition.

On Saturday, February 27, 2027, the giant slalom will be held in Sonntag-Stein, complemented by a charming nostalgia evaluation. The REGIO Biosphärenpark Großes Walsertal, together with the Ski Club Großes Walsertal, invites you to a weekend where, in addition to the sporting competition, culture, culinary treats, and friendly exchange are at the forefront.
