From the Kaltenberg Hut, the route leads through the vast, high-alpine terrain of the Verwall Mountains. The trail winds across gentle ridges, alpine meadows, and small hollows, evoking a sense of profound seclusion. After several moderate ascents and descents, you reach theNeue Reutlinger Hut (2,128 m).

TheNeue Reutlinger Hütte is a self-catering hut.Reservations are mandatoryand must be made via the DAV Reutlingen website. Day 2: Kaltenberg Hut – Neue Reutlinger Hut
Day 3: Neue Reutlinger Hut – Satteinser Alpe or Nenzigasttal – Klösterle

Sturdy footwear, warm clothing, rain and sun protection, a snack, a full water bottle, and hiking poles are recommended. Additionally, bring gear for an overnight stay in a mountain hut. A cell phone for emergencies.
