Tour description
At the summit of the Gamsfreiheit you can enjoy the magnificent panorama. From here you descend to the Elsalpe, where you can treat yourself to a snack (managed: mid-June - early September). After your rest, follow the road to Tiefenseesattel (1,562 m) and from there take the slightly ascending hiking trail to Frassenhütte, your overnight accommodation.
At the church in Marul, take the hiking bus line 576 and get off at the 1st bus stop Fuchswald. Approx. 200 m after the bus stop you will see signs for Gamsfreiheit. Ascent via the Faludriga-Nova nature reserve to the Faludrigaalpe (1,715 m) and to the summit of the Gamsfreiheit (2,211 m). The nature reserve is an intact wildlife habitat and an important resting area for red deer and chamois as well as black grouse and ptarmigan.
