Musical theater: Angel of the Twilight

The Free Theater Kopernikus brings the magnificent Marlene Dietrich back to life with the musical play “Angels of Dusk” by Torsten Fischer and Herbert Schäfer, as she reflects on her life. Marlene hated the Nazis and turned her back on Hitler by adopting American citizenship and supporting their troops during World War II. She sang the Hebrew song “Shir Hatan” in Israel and clearly spoke out about the Holocaust: “We knew exactly what was happening to the Jews!”

The performers include the impressive jazz singer Susanna Ackermann-Malin, who will take on the role of Marlene Dietrich and sing her songs. Karl Müller will portray all the male roles. Additionally, four musicians will accompany the songs and the play on stage. The musical director is Marco Schädler from Liechtenstein, who has arranged and supported many musical productions.
